Focus
The focus of the quality processes at iTech is on the prevention of faults at every stage of the development process. Towards this objective, the quality function is based on a four-tiered structure.

Internal Quality Controllers (IQCs) are responsible for ensuring quality at a project level.
Internal Quality Auditors (QAs) conduct internal audits across all groups and all projects within each group on a monthly basis.
iTech frequently conducts surveillance audits in preparation for our ISO 9000 & CMMI certification.
A Quality Systems Steering Committee (QSSC) is responsible for defining long-term quality objectives and laying down the quality roadmap.

iTech has developed in-house Quality Manuals and Coding Standards that are followed by the developers at each stage of the project. Industry trained and qualified Software Project Auditors conduct periodic quality checks during various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). At every stage, a detailed review process is conducted with the help of extensive checklists prepared with years of experience. Quality records are tracked and measured using standard quality guidelines. Our in-house developed Defect Tracking System is used to track defects at every stage of the SDLC.

Detailed Functional Specifications and Technical Architecture documents are prepared for every project. The Quality Control cell performs design reviews of the specifications and ensures that testing scenarios are established at every phase. The testing scenarios include unit testing (blackbox and whitebox), integration testing, system testing and acceptance testing. A well defined Quality Plan and Integration Test Plan are prepared at an early stage of the project. These plans are shared and reviewed with the customer to meet their testing and acceptance criteria.
